Any modifications that we preform may void any warranty that a manufacturer
may extend.
In the case of sound installations, most will require milling to accommodate the decoder and speakers. Modifications to the bodyshell may also be required. Most of the hood units will have two holes drilled out in the fuel tank to allow for sound to clearly escape. During operation, these holes are not visible since they are facing the track. Please realize that this process is irreversible, meaning that the locomotive cannot be returned to the original factory state. For locomotives that have had previous mill work done to accommodate another type of decoder, we apologize, but we cannot accept these for sound installations. |
